A Legal Victory against New York Satanists in Oklahoma City

It seems that the Archbishop of Oklahoma City did decide to protect the Sacred Host via legal means. After all, the mocking anti-Catholic hate speech that is a black mass revolves around a stolen piece of Church property.

Much to Oklahoma Catholics' delight, the satanist Adam Daniels decided that he did not want to challenge the Catholic Church in a costly legal battle. Instead, Daniels said he would relinquish the Host to the archbishop's lawyer if the case was dropped. "I don’t feel like wasting thousands of dollars fighting over a cookie," Daniels said.

It gladdens my heart that Archbishop Coakley undertook this legal route to attain an official victory. Though Daniels and his minions may still attempt to hold the black mass--and perhaps even utilize a stolen Host--at the very least, he is not profaning it "officially." Perhaps it is just a small comfort.

The bigger issue is what has been lacking this entire time--that is, the state's protection against this kind of abuse. Non-Catholics will argue that freedom of speech protects men like Daniels and allows them to insult sizeable portions of the Oklahoma population in the worst way possible. Does this therefore imply that Koran burning and Holocaust denial assemblies are also allowed in the Oklahoma City Civic Center?

In fact, it seems that solid protections against this sort of insult were removed just last year, courtesy of Representative Randy Grau, who worked to remove "antiquated" blasphemy laws.

It is expected that the Catholics of Oklahoma would work to protect themselves, the Church, and the literal Body of Christ from desecration and insult.  It would have been more assuring, however, to know that state officials and OKC Civic Center management would also put forth an effort to protect us against hate speech.

But in these matters, it is clear that state officials and civic center managers are unreliable when it comes to sensibility and prudence.

Some fun SSPX quotes about the Sedes

Special thanks to Jayne for doing the leg work on this one.

I'm not particularly an SSPX fan.  I attend the officially approved FSSP Catholic Mass.  However, I'm not immediately a critic of the SSPX either.

With that qualification out of the way, here's some great text discussing the nature of those people who define themselves by denying the popes since the 60s--those wacky, wild, zany, crazy sedevacantists!
Sedevacantists are truly obsessed by the question of the papacy. One may well wonder if in many of them this is not due to some psychological trauma. Their understandable ancestral veneration for the pope seems to unleash a veritable panic at the idea of contrasting their cherished, idealized image of the papacy with such popes as Paul VI and John Paul II.
Sedevacantism appears to be more of a psychological than a theological problem. It would be both easy and cruel to evoke here some of the variations, as well as the successive divisions fostered by their numerous cliques and the astounding reversals and turnabouts coming from their inconsistent motives.
But why be so harsh with them? Are not those reproaches, which they make regarding the Pope's teaching, his pastoral approach, including some erroneous Vatican II teachings, indeed well founded? Admittedly, some indulgence could be shown for some theological error which, for the moment, has but little practical consequences, if we were not to note and observe the dire consequences brought upon the faithful. We now see only too well what effects those theological outpourings produce in passionate Catholics. They now have become their own pope. They judge their own priests. No longer do many of them have recourse to the sacrament of Confession. No longer do they hearken to the Church's infallible teachings. They generally bring moral ruin on their own families. [These are the self-titled and self-styled "home-aloners."- Ed.]
We used to know truly pious Catholics. After a few years we met them again only to find them marked by a psychological behavior found in types such as the Jehovah's Witnesses or in protestants in general: haughty, understanding everything, seeing everything through their jaundiced and obsessed eyes, unceasingly shaking their rattles of definitive, final, and unanswerable arguments which they do not understand themselves. Beware the time when they lose their God-given Faith and give up on everything.
How can one explain such a breakdown in the Christian spirit? We may well wonder if sedevacantism may not prove to be even more grave, more serious than it first seemed. Experience has proved that that which is understood by most of those Catholics won over to the sedevacantist camp turns out to be quite a simple idea: an unworthy pope is no longer pope. This strangely resembles the unhinged teachings of Wycliffe and of John Hus: A pope in the state of mortal sin is no longer pope, a bishop in the state of mortal sin is no longer bishop having authority in his own diocese, nor does a pastor in such a state have any authority over his parish. And the same for a king over his country, etc. We may think that John Hus was sincere in his errors. His death does not seem to be one of a formal heretic. But this fact changes nothing with regard to the eventual ugly consequences. The followers of Jan Hus later became bloodthirsty wolves feeding on their exploited fellow citizens as they hunted to death those bishops, pastors, kings and princes whom they thought were not worthy of life.
The following quotation was found here:
If sedevacantism were simply a misunderstanding about whether or not the present pope is pope, there wouldn’t be much reason to spend time or energy in exposing and opposing it, for men make wrong choices all the time. However, sedevacantism doesn’t simply stand by itself, but has supporting ideals which oppose the Faith. Sedevacantism must be exposed and opposed, as we saw with Gallicanism, because of its disrespect for the pope and the desire for the right to judge the pope.
The SSPX has done a lot of work to speak out against those who deny the post-Vatican popes.  And that is good.  If only the rest of the Catholic clergy also tackled these issues, we could nip this problem of sedevacantism in the bud.

Sadly, though, the West dithers.  It seems as if the current Church leadership is caught up in the silly Modernist Pageant where they show off their liberalism.

Meanwhile, liberals and radical protestant-style sedes gnaw away at Church members--and oh yeah, all the Iraq Christian kids just had their heads cut off last week.

Oh, to be a Catholic in these times.

Society is on the very eve of most terrible scourges and greatest events; one must expect to be governed by a rod of iron and to drink the chalice of God's wrath.

Seems that I was banned from Suscipe Domine again

I got banned from SD again this week.  Apparently, I didn't notice until after the ban was over.

"Yeeessss!  We banned Hirschie again!"

After bowing out of a series of baits, a particular thread was allowed to go on for two full days until LouisIX decided to get all uppety and ban me, much to the delight of the sedevacantist fringe over there.

In so many words, I have expressed my disappointment, and I stated just how dishonest I consider the entire vindictive affair.  Poor moderation, that.  I blame them completely.

But I suppose since everyone's hankering for more talk about sedevacantism, heretical priests, corrupt clergy and whatnot, I found a nice couple of paragraphs where Barnhardt lays it on the line for anyone confused about our lackluster situation in the Church.  Emphasis is mine:

I also received an email from a guy who was confirmed by Bernardin back in the day. He said the only thing any of them remembered about the Mass was how super-creepy Bernardin was. Of course, “super-creepy” is how children process and describe sodomites, both male and female. But this brings up a point about the heresy of Donatism, which is alive and well today. Donatism basically says that the state of the soul of the priest affects the validity of the sacraments he performs. WRONG. 100% wrong. First, we’re ALL sinners, so if the validity of a sacrament was tied to the soul of the priest, there would be no valid sacraments performed ever, anywhere. If you want to talk about God’s infinite mercy, here it is. Bernardin’s Masses, so long as they were said properly, were valid. As was the confirmation of the fellow who emailed me. There are people who were married by sodomite priests who raped teenaged boys, and these couples, when they found out about the priests, doubted that their marriages were valid. YES, those marriages are absolutely valid. How in the world would it make sense for Our Lord to hold lay people responsible so as to WITHDRAW HIMSELF from those truly seeking Him because of the sins of the priest, which were unknowable at the time to the people? What about priests who keep concubines? Those priests are in mortal sin more often than not, while saying Mass. The effects on the souls of the priests offering the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass while in mortal sin are horrific and real – as they are for ANYONE who receives the Eucharist whilst in mortal sin. This is why St. Paul warns so strongly against receiving the Eucharist unworthily in 1 Corinthians 11 – because as Voltaire told his student, the quickest way to extinguish faith and deaden the conscience is to receive Our Lord in mortal sin. But no matter how unworthy the priest may be, those consequences are justly limited to him, NOT unjustly applied to the recipients of the sacraments he confects. God is not an irrational, arbitrary tyrant. He is perfectly just, and perfectly rational, and He loves us and will allow a satan-worshiping sodomite like Bernardin to call Him down onto the altar in his hands – so He can be with us. Get your mind around that and you have officially pondered the first drop in the ocean of His Mercy and Love for us.

Aiming more towards the sedevacantists, we have this one.  Earlier in Barnhardt's post, she states the following.  Emphasis hers:

As the Francis pontificate grinds on, with seemingly each day bringing some double-face palm horror, it seems to me that Our Lord is using this as perhaps one last big sifting, or sorting, to see who REALLY gets it, who really loves Him personally and not as a mere philosophy or legal system, and is going to stick with Him. Again, I think the cancer analogy is very helpful here. If your wife was diagnosed with cancer, would you immediately move out? File for divorce? Because, hey, I didn’t marry someone with cancer, and therefore you are no longer the person I married, right? Nope. Stay in the boat. Because schism only breeds more schism. And besides, that’s exactly what they want you to do. They want you out, because if you’re out, well, for lack of a better phrase… YOU’RE OUT. It is going to be an absolute mess, and Our Lord says this repeatedly in scripture (sorting of sheep from goats, the sorting of the catch in the nets, the weeds growing among the crop, people crying out, “Lord, Lord” and being escorted to hell because “I never knew you”.) Also, we have Our Lady warning us of all of this repeatedly, Fatima and Quito being the two most prominent instances. Bottom line, none of this should be a surprise, and thus we should all be confirmed and “dug in”, with the thought of abandoning Our Lord, or really withdrawing from Him and His Church in any way, to be not just unthinkable, but in diametric opposition to the very circumstances and responses we have been anticipating and preparing ourselves for.

Barnhardt really is cool.  I check her site just about every week.

There's two types of people splitting themselves away from the Heart of the Church that Christ founded with Peter: the extreme left wing and the extreme right wing.  Gay mass types, and sedevacantists.  Both work to break apart the Church from the inside, and it all makes the Holy Church look terrible to all of the outsiders who are not Catholic.  Both groups are not a part of the solution, but a part of the problem.

Rotten Fruit Already From the Black Mass in OKC

Last week, I implored as many people as I could to please join my diocese in a nine-day novena and an abstinence from meat, as we offer up our discomfort to God and seek His intervention in halting the black mass to be held in my state's capital city, Oklahoma City.

I then posted seven consequences that would arise from having such a public and seemingly "state-approved" spectacle of hate speech.

Two consequences that would arise from this insulting act of blasphemy would be that the enemies of Christ would feel emboldened, and that we would see a rise in satanic shenanigans in our area.

These predictions have come true already, as it seems someone stole the Host from a monstrance at St. John's Catholic Church in Bartlesville.  Now, someone with ill will out there in the world will have the opportunity to desecrate the literal Body of Christ.

This wickedness will only spread in the years to come, thanks to the unwillingness of our state government to protect the dignity of its good law-abiding citizens from this evil and satanically crucial moment in Oklahoma history.

Solutions?  The Eucharist should only be passed out to people in a state of grace who kneel at an altar rail with their mouth open to receive the literal Body of Christ.   The Host should be locked safely away, and greater care should be taken in keeping the Body of Christ secure.

These solutions are obvious to most Catholics, but some people just don't seem to get it.

Iraq: What's the big deal?

So, what's the big deal about Iraq?  What could you be missing?  Why do you keep hearing about those strange "atrocities" every now and then?  Of course there's atrocities in Iraq.  "That's how those people are, right?"

Here's the big deal:

See those three guns?  One of them shot this kid in the head shortly after this picture.

The well-funded ISIS has taken the initiative to start killing the Christians.  This included the kids.  And not only are the sick ISIS bastards killing the non-Muslim kids, but they're beheading them, too.  Isn't that nice?

This is what a headless little girl looks like.  This is what the "Religion of Peace" is all about.

Here we see an ISIS butcher covered in somebody's blood.
He comes to take that little toddler away to have his head cut off.
Look at how calm the other child is,
as he watches the about-to-be decapitated child scream in terror.

I hope those pictures are horrifying to you. They should be.

Hopefully, they will be burned into your mind for a very long time.

These children are the victims of the ISIS, and the ISIS is there because of us. The United States did this.

By invading Iraq and killing Saddam Hussein, we destabilized the country of Iraq and allowed Islamic freaks to take over the country. And not only are we allowing that to happen with our new-found apathy towards responsibility--but the US is even funding ISIS. Yup, those loveable "freedom fighters" trying to take down that oh-so-wicked Assad up in Syria. We give these guys their money. We are working hard to help make Iraq a Islamic caliphate nation. But first, the Christians and other non-Muslims have to be killed off.

Are we giving these people aid? Are we sending boots on the ground? Are we air-lifting these victims of US foreign policy? Are we sending in squads of "advisors" to watch the perimeter as these people escape? And what is our president doing as these people die of thirst and hunger right this very moment?

Here is what our President--the executive-in-chief--is doing:

Our president is vacationing and fundraising--as usual--at Martha's Vineyard. He is playing golf and complaining about the cold beach water. This man could be taking action right now to rescue tens of thousands of Iraqi's who are stranded in the mountains and hiding in fear from the ISIS. He could be doing this right now. Because this country is responsible for what has happened to those people. But at most, he had a few US jets bomb who-knows-what for two minutes, and it didn't make any kind of difference.
Here, let me remind you again of those kids that are getting beheaded. Do you suppose these Muslims are at least putting a bullet through the heads of these people they decapitate?

No.

That is not their style.

The Muslim US-funded ISIS very much enjoy cutting off the heads of their victims while they are still alive because it is very painful, very graphic, and in their eyes it is a great warning to everyone who opposes Islam.

It is highly likely that the ISIS Satanists have been cutting the heads off of those children while they are still alive.

And to top it all off, they've been displaying their heads and headless bodies in a local park in Mosul as a friendly reminder of who they are and what they are trying to achieve.

The man getting beheaded above is very much alive and feeling the sensation of the dull blade cutting through his trachea, esophagus, and cervical spine.

Processing children with a dull blade is probably easier, since their flesh is more tender and the cartilage on their bones is still soft and unmatured.

On the left is just a tiny fraction of last week's child-culling.  Fortunately (?) for this group of toddlers, they were not slowly decapitated by a grinning fiend.  Although, they are covered in blood, so it's possible they did not die well.

Again, this is the work of the ISIS.  These people are funded by the US Government.  We allow this atrocity, and we fund the ISIS.  In a way, this is what America stands for now.  I wonder if you people still consider the U.S. to be the good guys?  I wonder if Barak Obama's fundraiser is going well.

By the way, our Muslim Brotherhood-funded president is probably happy about this.  Our white-Christian-hating president is probably glad at this atrocity.  He knew that the ISIS was an up-and-coming spinoff of Al Qaida.  This is nothing new to him.  He knew all the way back in 2012.  Read all about it here.  And in case the website is scrubbed off of the internet, here is the text itself:

In congressional testimony as far back as November, U.S. diplomats and intelligence officials made clear that the United States had been closely tracking the al Qaida spinoff since 2012, when it enlarged its operations from Iraq to civil war-torn Syria, seized an oil-rich province there and signed up thousands of foreign fighters who’d infiltrated Syria through NATO ally Turkey.

The testimony, which received little news media attention at the time, also showed that Obama administration officials were well aware of the group’s declared intention to turn its Syrian sanctuary into a springboard from which it would send men and materiel back into Iraq and unleash waves of suicide bombings there. And they knew that the Iraqi security forces couldn’t handle it.
The Merced Sun-Star. US and Islamic State: ‘We did see this coming’ By Jonathan S. Landay,  McClatchy Washington Bureau, July 24, 2014
Bored with the written facts?  Here, let me remind you again of what we are talking about.

So, the US government--Obama--knew about this evil two years ago.  Yet, this was allowed to happen.  Probably because the Muslim Brotherhood is weaved in and out of our power structure in Washington DC.  But hey!  This is a democracy, and you elected Obama twice, America.  Who am I to complain if you want an enabler like Obama running your country?  As Pope Francis shall forever be quoted: "Who am I to judge?"

Speaking of Pope Francis, isn't it commendable what the Holy Father is calling for in this crisis? Isn't it just wonderful? Has he stopped talking about dialogue yet? I read in Monday's Washington Post that the Vatican is finally acknowledging the need for military intervention for the Iraqi victims. However, there has been no acknowledgement for the need of force from Pope Francis. None.  There is, however, a call for force coming from Archbishops Giorgio Lingua and Silvano Tomasi. Our Obama-approved limited airstrikes are a joke. Chaldean Catholic Patriarch Louis Raphael Sako called our lackluster firework show "disappointing."

And, of course our little bombs we dropped on a truck somewhere are disappointing.  Because Obama and his Muslim Brotherhood pals want this...

And this...
And this...

That's what our government seems to enjoy funding.  When you pay your taxes, your money goes to the knives that cut the heads off of these people.  Isn't that wonderful?  There's plenty of information available for you to learn that Obama's putative half-brother, Malik Obama, is a high-ranking African branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.  There's plenty of opportunity for you to go onto the internet and learn that Hilary Clinton's close buddy in Washington, Huma Abedin (Mrs. Anthony Weiner) is the daughter of two of the Muslim Brotherhood's hightest ranking members.

But hey?  Who cares.  You have video games to play.  Nails to polish.  Magazines to read.

Our good ol' buddy ol' pal John "Warhawk" McCain is seen all over the internet posing with his good buddies in the ISIS hoping that we'll charge in to Syria to take down Assad.

McCain and the CIA-funded so-called "freedom fighters" in Syria.

I wonder, if we ever did help out to take down Assad, would Syria collapse just like Iraq did, and then these ISIS bastards would have their go at the Christians there?  Gee.  Hmmm.  Got to think about that one.  Uh, probably.  Which is what the Muslim Brotherhood and our cowards in office want to one degree or another.

Right now, tens of thousands of Iraqi Yazidis have fled into the mountains from ISIS, and if they come down, they will be killed brutally.  There is no water or vegetation underneath that hot Iraqi sun where they all languish and die.  To be a little more precise, at last count, there were about 40,000 people trapped up there.  It has been estimated that about 70% of those people have died already.  Thousands and thousands of of innocent people, dead largely because of America.

Did we drop any relief supplies?  Ha.  Instead, we insulted these dying people.  We dropped "relief supplies" without parachutes so damned high from helicopters--15,000 feet--that the supplies exploded on impact with the ground.  This is the thought put into helping these people.  This is the consideration.  This is the inept carelessness that is "American relief."  Iraqi MP, Vian Dakhil, told Bagdad reporters that "we have one or two days left to help these people.  After that they will start dying en masse."  That was Sunday. These people have died.  Dogs are literally tearing into their corpses, thanks to the Islamic men of the ISIS.  This is the nature of Islam.

ISIS Muslims have done this.  This is their fault.

ISIS/Muslim Brotherhood/Al Qaida is funded by Washington with your tax dollars.  This is Obama and Washington's fault.

We destabilized Iraq in an unjustified war and allowed this vacuum to come into existence, thus enabling our CIA assets--crazed mercenaries--to do this horror.  This is George Bush's fault.

George Bush, Colon Powell, and the previous administration told us that Al Qaida attacked America on September 11th, 2001, that Al Qaida was in Iraq, and that they were in collusion with Saddam Hussein to use hidden weapons of mass destruction.  This is George Bush and his enabler's fault.

You people voted George Bush and Barak Hussein Obama into office, and you continue to vote for men enabled by evil international organizations.  Most of America refuses to take a critical look at whatever the hell they are doing.  While the rest of the world is keenly aware of the realities on the ground--the atrocities that America commits, allows, and supports--the American toadstool sits on his ass not looking beyond a CNN headline.  This is your fault, American citizens.

God allows evil to punish people.  He gives people what they want so that they are consumed with madness and the insanity of what they keep begging for.  So we will have madness and we will continue to deliver madness.  We will weep over the cowardly suicide of comedians, await the next godless season of Game of Thrones, and we will passively allow Satan worshipers to set up their "educational" satanic art and black mass performances in our city centers.  We will continue to reject God and His Church. And in return, God will continue to leave us alone.

Consequences of Having a Black Mass In My Locale

A fellow Catholic on one of the forums I frequent told me that he considers this black mass to be a distraction to the real problems that the Church is facing.

Evil needs to be confronted.

My response was that this issue is personal and critical for me, since I live in Oklahoma.  Also, however, there are plenty of battles that are facing a Catholic in our day and age.  It is true that you have to pick your battles.  However, it is not wise to always be focusing on the big picture that you cannot hope to change on your own, all the while ignoring the battles that come up around you.

How can a man think of going out to extinguish a forest fire when the firehouse he lives in is burning down with that man still inside of it?

But this conversation with my colleague helped me to consider a few thoughts about the consequence of having a black mass said in your area.  For the moment, I've thought of seven.

Off the top of my head:
1. This puts blood in the water for more activity*. We can expect more satanic shenanigans here in the "Bible Belt."

2. This will invite bad clientele. More occultists will be drawn into this region, and these sick games may even inspire bored young people to choose an exciting life of occult opposition to Jesus Christ.
3. The Devil has declared another landing point in his assault against humanity. Aren't you people tired of retreat?
4. Since the Lucifer statue is supposed to be put on public land, and since the black mass is to be said in a public tax-payer-funded building, then this is a very PUBLIC event. It is so public, in fact, that it's almost as if our state government is sanctioning it in a sort of a way. This is an act of blasphemy against a sizeable portion of the populace utilizing a stolen piece of property—the Host. It is almost as if the government will now allow theft of Catholic property by giving a nod to this.

5. This will invite and bring forth demons. Evil will be able to move more freely here in my locale.
6. This will embolden the enemies of Christ in this region.
7. Most importantly, this will be a desecration of Jesus Christ's body. Some will say tongue-in-cheek, "Oh, they aren't using a real Host." I respond: How do you know? Myself, if I see someone try to abuse the Eucharist in my presence, I get physical. We should protect Christ when He is vulnerable.
Ignorance and complacency are to blame for this abuse of our state government's property.  If the citizenry of Oklahoma knew better, this kind of behavior would not be tolerated.

Apathy and naivete are responsible for this impending abuse of Christ's body.  The Eucharist should not be passed out into the hands of the laity.

*This kind of occult activity will only continue if it is not challenged.  Adam Daniels, sex offender, and member of the Dakhma of Angra Mainyu, has stated: "I'm renting a small space one time a year to educate the public about my religion. This is protected by my First Amendment Right as a citizen of the United States, not a brainwashed sheep of the Catholic Empire."

Novena Prayers

Here is a copy of novena prayers that the Bishop requests we pray every day, starting August 6th until August 14th.

Stop the Black Mass in Oklahoma City: Bishop Slattery's Plan

So, it seems that the complacence, ignorance, and relativism of my fellow countrymen has allowed the Prince of Darkness to set up shop in Oklahoma, here in the very heart of the United States.

First, an inept Oklahoma state government bungled their way into allowing a statue of Lucifer to soon be placed at our capitol. And now, once again in the very public square of our state, stolen property from the Catholic Church will be publicly vandalized and desecrated by a registered sex offender with the official approval of the moral relativists running our tax-funded Oklahoma City Civic Center. Afraid to offend the Evil One and his minions, managers of the civic Center will weakly acquiesce as Satan places yet another foothold in Oklahoma’s capital.

And so, what does it matter if another religion makes a public spectacle, namely with stolen Church property? How does this bother anyone? Well, in this time that we live where Christians are slaughtered in diverse places, the long-term outcome is not hard to imagine.

One day, the time will come when Satan shall exercise his temporal power in the West. Christians will become persecuted, attacked, and killed—just as they are in China, Iraq, Nigeria, Lebanon, and many other less reported locales.

The last thing the remaining good people of America—and specifically Oklahoma—should want is to have Satan Central in the middle of our territory. Shrines to evil such as we are witnessing in Oklahoma City do more than just generate controversy and press. It invites an evil clientele who is filled with malice and hate towards all that is good.

Openly allowing this kind of evil in our homeland will release untold numbers of demons in the region.

Laity can participate in fighting this spiritual battle. Prayer can work. Bishop Slattery of the Tulsa diocese has put forth his plan to combat this spreading evil, and we act this Wednesday.

A letter from Bishop Slattery
Countering with Prayer the proposed Black Mass in Oklahoma City

My Dear People:

As has been widely reported, a Satanic Black Mass has been scheduled for September 21 in Oklahoma City’s Civic Center. As a part of Satanic worship, a Black Mass attempts to invert the action and meaning of the Eucharist in order to mock Christ’s sacrifice and worship Satan through an orgiastic ritual of pain and perversion. It blasphemes everything which we hold as sacred and redemptive; and the spiritual dangers it poses ought not be dismissed. Since the Civic Center has not responded positively to the pleas of the Archbishop of Oklahoma City not to host this event in a tax-payer supported public venue, I am asking the faithful Catholics in the Diocese of Tulsa to fight this blasphemy through prayer and fasting:

Please keep the nine days prior to the Feast of the Assumption as an extraordinary period of prayer and penance. I am asking every Catholic to abstain from all meat and meat products from August 6 through the 14th. I am also asking that you consecrate your hunger with a daily recitation of a decade of the rosary and the familiar Prayer to Saint Michael.  Printed copies of these prayers are available in the bulletin and at the entrances of the church. Be strong and encourage your friends to also be strong.

On Assumption Day, August 15th, we will ask Our Lady on her Feast, to intercede for us and protect us. On that day I in the Cathedral, and every priest in his own parish, will pray a special prayer written by Pope Leo XIII for the defense of the Church against the attack of the Enemy and his apostate angels.

Should these prayers and this period of fasting not effect the cancellation of this event, then I will ask every priest in the Diocese to conduct a Eucharistic Holy Hour on September 21 at the same time (7:00 p.m.) as this profanity is being celebrated in Oklahoma City. Wherever possible, I ask that Eucharistic Processions - especially outdoor processions - be arranged as part of these holy hours. Let us give a public witness to our faith in the Eucharist which is being so profoundly mocked and ridiculed by this event.

From the snares of the devil, deliver us, O Lord!

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Most Rev. Edward J. Slattery
Bishop of Tulsa

Let us take up a nine day fast from meat, and pray the rosary and prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel every day that you abstain. Take note of Assumption Day, and if you are in the area, attend Holy Family Cathedral on the 15th of August.

Tell everyone you know. You, the laity—and even you Protestants—have been waiting for something you can do to directly counter this evil that is spreading in our land. This is what you do. This period of fasting and prayer is our direct assault.

If you want to be relevant, you will take up this fast. If you fall into complacency like everyone else, you can expect the number of demonic possessions to start rising in Oklahoma.
